Understanding the Process
I explain typical stages in everyday language and help you identify questions about your own case to discuss with counsel. I do not predict what will happen in your matter.
Gray Hardaway · Justice Navigation & Consulting
Under investigation, indicted, or facing a federal criminal case? You may be trying to keep your family, work, and everyday life together while preparing for conversations and decisions with your lawyer. I offer practical and personal support from someone who has been through it.
My white collar crime consulting is non-legal support—not criminal defense. I help you understand the general process, get your own records and questions organized, and prepare for the human realities of a federal case. Your lawyer handles the law; I support the person.
I am not an attorney and do not give legal advice. My support is in coordination with legal counsel.

I've been through investigation, proffers, indictment, civil lawsuit, arrest, plea offer, pre-trial conditions, a two-month federal criminal trial, sentencing, incarceration, home confinement, civil settlement process, probation, and the appeal process. I bring that firsthand perspective to the people I help.
My qualifications include a BA in Psychology with a Minor in Religion, an MA in Industrial and Organizational Psychology, and my Licensed Life Coach credential. I am bilingual in Spanish and an Associate Member of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.
More about my experienceI explain typical stages in everyday language and help you identify questions about your own case to discuss with counsel. I do not predict what will happen in your matter.
I help you organize thoughts, concerns, and questions so time with your attorney can be more focused. Advice about responding to investigators or making legal decisions belongs to counsel.
We can organize your personal timeline, document inventory, and records for your lawyer. I do not analyze evidence or develop legal theories.
I share firsthand perspective on the practical and emotional experience of a court day, including logistics and family support—not testimony preparation or advice about handling a hearing.
I help you put your concerns into questions for your attorney. Plea decisions, trial strategy, and other legal choices stay between you and your counsel.
I help you think through personal and practical preparation, organize questions, and make room for the family impact of this period. I do not coach probation answers or draft sentencing memoranda.
I help you keep questions, timelines, documents, and concerns organized while your attorney handles the appeal.
A white collar case affects more than the person charged. I help loved ones think through conversations at home, work and finances, and the uncertainty they are living with. A family member can reach out independently.
As a licensed Life Coach, I offer personal coaching before, during, and after the trauma of legal battles, specializing in cognitive processes that help individuals and families manage fear, stress, and uncertainty.
I do not advise on legal strategy, analyze evidence, prepare testimony, coach answers to probation, draft sentencing memoranda, or provide compliance reviews. Legal decisions remain between you and your attorney. I cannot promise a sentence, placement, release date, or other outcome.
Attorneys can reach out about practical and personal support for a client. Communications with me are not attorney-client privileged; coordinating with counsel does not, by itself, make them privileged.
I speak to large groups and present in English and Spanish. If you need someone with firsthand experience and professional composure to add to a presentation or a client program, I am available for that.
